“Island Summer”
In this exhibition of mini canvases I wanted to capture that special quality of light and colour that speaks to us of long, lazy summers spent by, or on, the water. I chose small canvases because they have that feel of a memory to me. So, these paintings are really memories of summer holidays by the sea, days spent beside a slow running river and weekend escapes up the coast. I hope some of these “memories” resonate with you.

Thank you Osyth. I’m so fortunate to live in this beautiful place, to have time to paint and the security of a home and income. In another life I would never have been able to follow this path – I never forget to be grateful.

Hi Janet, I’m so pleased that you found two paintings to love and give a home to! As I said in the email I’ll pack today and have them in the post tomorrow. I’ve already received the payments for the paintings but the postage payment isn’t through yet.
