I often fill in the day when sitting at the gallery by painting small watercolour art books. People like to see the artist at work and I often sell something because they’ve enjoyed seeing me make it. This is one I did last week. It’s full of small local scenes which is one of the reasons I enjoy doing them so much.
Lots of fun!
full of charm – love the rough cut edges and the square format – hope you sell some more p.s. been enjoying browsing through your blog – thank you for such impressive videos too –

Nice book, it looks perfectly designed, and almost like it has something with the golden ratio going on especially with the double page spread. But maybe I’m looking too deep. I like how you have the same theme of coastal paintings throughout the book.

Hi Loretta. I use a good watercolour paper for the watercolour books and if I’m doing an acrylic one I use a n acrylic/oil sketch paper. Good luck with yours!
