The Hidden Jetty: Postcard No 99

Life by the River

It’s been another day of blustery weather and my mural painting was interrupted when the wind blew over my water jar and brushes and sent a box of rags flying across the car park. So home I headed and did some work on a large acrylic on canvas which I’ve upsized from an earlier postcard. Not sure it’s working yet …maybe I’m too tired from the mural. I’ll pull it back given time and when I do I’ll share it with you.

We’ve been living here now for 10 months and I drive past Port Huon a few times a week but I only spotted this little jetty a few weeks ago.

It’s not really hidden you simply can’t see it from the road. I happened to stop, cross the road and look down and there it was tucked into the shore.

I liked the scribbly branches so I scribbled them in!

Everything is a bit wonky which isn’t fair to the jetty which is in very good condition. It is pretty accurate as to the mood of the day I spotted it though.

Which is more important???
