Life by the River

I bought a set of Unipin fineliners the other day so today I decided to use them for my postcard. There’s something about no colour sketches that get to the heart of the subject. Maybe the mood and atmosphere don’t come across as well but it does distill down the values and forms.

I do need some more practice with fineliners. I’ve seen some amazing work by other artists and it seems a very convenient and easy way to travel sketch.

I’ll keep them in my bag and try and get some more sketches under my belt.
