Driftwood: Postcard No 148

Life by the River

I’m always fascinated by how much driftwood gets washed up on the banks of the river and how many branches get mired down in the river itself. Today’s postcard is of two big piles of driftwood that sit beside the road between Castle Forbes Bay and Franklin. The big one is quite an odd shape which I haven’t really captured. They remind me of bonfires from my childhood but i don’t think they are destined for the fire as they’ve remained untouched by flame in the twelve months we’ve lived here.

Which reminds me…today is the one year anniversary of our move:)
