Life by the River
Driving along the river road I often catch interesting glimpses of other people’s lives by, or on, the river. Today was no exception . As I made my way home from my last pastel class for the year I noticed a new boat on the water at Franklin.
It was a lovely little wooden skiff with two sails up and skimming across the water in the afternoon breeze. She was incredibly nostalgic for me, very Amazons and Swallows. I wanted to stop for some photos but I was in a hurry and I only had my phone not my zoom camera so I made a mental photo and kept on home.
Later on my husband called me to see a boat and there she was, sailing right past our house. How could I not make her the subject for today’s postacard?
