Life by the River

I do love looking out my windows and seeing how the boats move around on their moorings, gently swaying with the tides and currents. If I paint enough boats maybe I’ll get good at them…well, at the very least, better.

The thing about boats is if you’re a boatie person you know what everything is, how it should look and what it’s function is. If, like me, you didn’t grow up around boats they are often a beautiful mystery. It’s just that bit more difficult to render a believable boat when you don’t really understand it’s anatomy!
