Collagraphy is a versatile printmaking technique that results in unique, and sometimes unpredictable, prints.

Textured plates are created, hand inked, wiped to achieve tonal depth and put through a press to transfer the image to paper. The final print is a combination of the materials used, the artist’s skill and a little serendipity.

The plates themselves become things of beauty as a result of multiple inking and wiping sessions however, they are fragile, and so the print run is usually fairly limited.
