Monumental rock peaks in the Italian Dolomites

 

Today I didn’t have time to get out and photograph so I pulled out some photos from a trip to the Italian Dolomites a few years ago. These peaks were enormous and dwarfed the surrounding area. I’m still not sure which format emphasises the scale the most . What do your think?

    I dated a man from the Dolomites once upon a time … those mountains are scarred on my heart 🙂

      I’m married to a man who loves this sort of landscape- high and rocky and bare! I prefer a bit more forest and lake myself – but this was a spectacular place to hike.

        Cantal spoils you …. We get this and the forests and rivers too. It’s very varied which is one of its attractions for me 🙂

    I think the landscape view gives a better idea of the scale.
