The Proposal

I loved being asked to do this painting by a young man who had a friend capture his proposal to his girlfriend on film. I like the sneak peak through the leaves!

Nice painting, it says so much. The looking through the leaves really adds an interesting element also I like your use of different greens, and earthy orange.

  Thanks Shawn, There was so much green I decided to do a red/orange underpainting to try and add a bit of contrast.

What a lovely commission and you have given the couple a wonderful treasure to mark the most profound of moments in their life.

  It was a lovely commission. I like a painting with a story as it helps me connect when I haven’t been to the place or taken any photos or sketches myself. I hope they have a happy life together.
