The Red Fishing Boat: Postcard No 112

Life on the River

I love the squat fishing boats that are moored along the river. The red ones are particularly charming because they contrast so well with all the white boats and the green reflections of the trees and hillsides.

Today’s watercolour sketch is of one of these fishing boats reflected in the quiet waters of Port Huon.

How lucky am I to be living in such a picturesque part of the world!

      Thanks Helen…the boats are always interesting because they sway around with the tides and there’s a new composition every time I pass.
