Life by the River

What a beautiful day it’s been. Sunshine, a gentle breeze and a holiday vibe meant there were lots of boats out on the water. Meanwhile I was shovelling gravel for a garden shed base and ripping packing strips for a small bathroom reno!

In between the working I did enjoy seeing sailing boats slip serenely by, little rowing boats forging their way against the incoming tide and a couple of kayakers chatting as they paddled close to shore.

On my way home with a ute load of gravel the local sea eagle dipped down to the road for some road kill right in front of me whilst a marsh harrier hovered nearby waiting their turn.

I did a small sketch of one of the sailing boats with it’s young crew.
