Goodbye to the Postcards

Life by the River

If you regularly check in on my blog you will have noticed that I haven’t posted a postcard for a little while. I’ve got two big projects on at the moment. A bathroom reno and a large and complex painting. All this has left me without much spare time so I’ve let the postcards slide.

I also recognise that I have a short attention span with projects and I wonder why I said that I would do these postcards for a year! I know that I start with lots of enthusiasm and really enjoy the early part of a project but that there comes a time when I’m ready for a change …I think I may be there with the postcards. I’m still loving my life by the river and still creating art based around the river environs but am ready to spend more time on larger works and some eco printing with local leaves.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the daily postcards and I’ll still be posting, just not as often.

This is a sneak peak of a very small area of a large painting I’m working on every spare minute at the moment. There are lots of layers, much detail and many hours to go yet. I’ll post the completed work in March as it’s for a local exhibiiton and entries must not have been shown prior to the exhibition.

thanks for all the postcards! I have totally enjoyed them but understand that things change and other projects have to take precedence. Wishing you well with the many layered painting.
